Video: Robotic welding of the Starship spacecraft.

The footage provided by the NASASpaceflight channel showcases a large robotic manipulator welding the nose cone of one of the Starship prototype vessels inside the Starfactory — a massive facility at SpaceX's "Starbase" in South Texas.

SpaceX aims to conduct the seventh Starship test no earlier than January 11, 2025.

The flight is expected to feature the next-generation Starship prototype, designated V2. The first of these will be S33: it is several meters longer (taller) than the previous generation of vessels due to the addition of an extra ring to the fuselage. This prototype boasts a new configuration of the thermal protection system and an increased fuel capacity.
