Vladimir Zelensky and the prime ministers of the member countries will hold bilateral meetings and a joint press conference.
"We are both pleased and proud that Nordic support for Ukraine is so strong and unwavering across the entire Scandinavian political spectrum. Since the first day of Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine in 2022, the Nordic countries have actively supported Ukraine in its struggle," stated the president of the Nordic Council, Brindis Haraldsdottir, and vice president Oddni Hardardottir.
In addition, the organization aims to emphasize the importance of ongoing efforts to remind and inform the public about why it is crucial to continue supporting Ukraine.
The Nordic Council has launched several initiatives in support of Ukraine in recent years. In 2022, the theme of the meetings was the question of "How can the Nordic countries help Ukraine?" In the same year, there was a joint meeting with the Baltic Assembly to discuss the impact of Russia's war against Ukraine.
Support for Ukraine was also discussed at other sessions of the organization in 2022-2023.
