In response to a question from journalists about why Elon Musk's American company has achieved as many launches in a year as "Roscosmos" since November 25, 2013, Yuri Borisov remarked that SpaceX has been implementing the Starlink communication system project for several years, which requires a significant number of satellites in orbit.
Russia has not yet started a similar project. "Roscosmos" is currently undergoing a transformation of its production model from single satellite assembly to conveyor production, which will necessitate a greater volume of launch services in the future.
The head of the state corporation also promised that a domestic satellite communication system, similar to Starlink, will be operational by 2030.
