The Russian Federation is gradually increasing its activity in attacks using "Shaheds".
The aggressor country can still use Western components, which is why sanctions need to be strengthened.
This was stated by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky during his traditional evening
address.
“In October alone, over 2,000 ‘Shaheds’ have been used against Ukraine, against our people. Literally every single day. This number of ‘Shaheds’ translates to more than 170,000 components that must be blocked from being delivered to Russia. Chips, microcontrollers, processors, and many other parts, without which this terror would simply be impossible. All of this is supplied to Russia from abroad. Unfortunately, many micro-contributions come from companies in China, Europe, and America, fueling ongoing Russian terror. This once again highlights the world's need to work much harder to control the export of specialized parts and resources. We must not allow Russia to circumvent the sanctions that have long been imposed against it for this war,” said the president.
Just like with the ‘Shaheds’—with Russian missiles. All of them contain components from other countries. Fighting against Russian strikes means also fighting for the strength of sanctions against Russia.
“Sanctions must be increased and remain effective. Every circumvention scheme of sanctions is a crime against people and peace. Such schemes also allow Russia to bolster regimes in Iran and North Korea. This is a global threat. Only through global, targeted pressure can this be overcome,” Zelensky stated.
Recall that on November 2, Air Defense Forces
destroyed all drones threatening Kyiv. There were no direct hits to the capital.
As a result of the drone attack, two upper floors of a 16-story building in Kyiv
caught fire. Evacuations of residents are underway.
