Denmark has announced the transfer of two additional batches of F-16 fighter jets to Ukraine.

Denmark has already delivered six F-16 fighter jets to Ukraine.

Дания объявила о передаче Украине дополнительных двух партий истребителей F-16.
The remaining 13 will be sent later in two batches.

This was stated by Danish Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen during a joint press conference with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky. According to her, there are no changes in Denmark's plans to transfer a specific number of F-16 fighter jets to Ukraine.

“Six have been delivered. This was the first batch,” Frederiksen noted.

She reminded that since last summer, Denmark has been involved in training Ukrainian pilots to fly these fighter jets.

“It has been challenging, but we have succeeded in the training. Therefore, the process continues. There will be another batch and then another batch. In total, there will be 19 (aircraft - ed.), as we mentioned from the very beginning,” she said.

It was previously reported that by the end of 2024, Ukraine will receive another batch of F-16 fighter jets from Denmark. The date and number of aircraft in the new deliveries are currently not disclosed for operational security reasons.

The Netherlands will provide equipment and materials for the maintenance of Ukrainian F-16 fighter jets. Ukraine will also receive air-to-air missiles.
