Children from low-income families and displaced families will receive a payment of 6,500 hryvnias.

The Cabinet of Ministers has decided to provide payments of 6,500 hryvnias for children from low-income families and families of displaced persons.
Детям из семей с низким доходом и переселенцам предоставят помощь в размере 6,5 тысячи гривен.
The funds will be disbursed in December.

This was announced by Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal during a government meeting.

"Today we are adopting the relevant resolution that will kick off this program," he stated.

According to him, the child component of the "Winter Support" program includes several items. The first is the "Warm Winter" initiative: a one-time cash assistance for children to help them through the winter season.

"In December, each low-income family, as well as families of internally displaced persons (IDPs) with children or adults with Group I disabilities, will receive 6,500 hryvnias for each child. This funding is intended for purchasing warm clothing, footwear, and other essentials needed during the winter," the Prime Minister said.

Shmyhal emphasized that one of the priority areas is the protection of Ukrainian children, who should have the safest, most comfortable, and favorable conditions for living, learning, and developing.
