The Cabinet has approved significant decisions regarding pensions, medication reservations, and drug pricing.

The Cabinet of Ministers discussed "a number of important decisions for our resilience" during the meeting on February 25.

Кабмин утвердил ключевые решения касательно пенсий, бронирования и цен на медикаменты.
The discussion revolves around the extension of deferments for reserved workers until March 31, pension indexation, and discounts in pharmacies for medications.

This was announced by Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal in a Telegram post.

  • We are extending the deferments for reserved workers until March 31. This will give businesses time to confirm their status as critical according to the updated criteria, as well as to reassign their personnel.

  • Starting March 1, we will implement pension indexation. More than 10 million citizens will see their pensions increase by 11.5%. The minimum pension increase will be at least 100 UAH. To fairly distribute the financial resources and specifically raise the lowest pensions, we are introducing a maximum indexation limit of up to 1500 UAH.

  • We are addressing issues related to discounts in pharmacies for patients with chronic illnesses and individual access programs for medications.

Earlier, we reported that pharmacy retailers responded to President Zelensky's criticism regarding the exorbitant prices for medications in Ukraine and signed a Declaration on the accessibility of pharmaceuticals.

Additionally, Ukraine has registered its first medication based on medical cannabis. These are oral drops from a Spanish brand.
