The Ministry of Health has released the complete list of medications that will see price reductions starting March 1.

Before this, Ukrainian pharmaceutical manufacturers agreed to lower prices on the most popular medications to make treatment more affordable for the population.

The price reduction ranges from 10% to over 30%, depending on the medications, reported the Ministry of Health of Ukraine.

The decrease in drug prices will occur as part of the implementation of a decision by the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine (NSDC) regarding additional measures to ensure the availability of medicines. Most medications will see a price drop of 30%.

The NSDC's decision was approved by Presidential Decree No. 82/2025 and includes several regulatory changes aimed at ensuring transparent pricing and increasing competition in the market. Manufacturers supported it and committed to:

• reduce wholesale prices on the most popular medications by 30%;


• stabilize prices on socially significant drugs;


• ensure transparent pricing and avoid artificial inflation of drug costs.

This measure is expected to improve access for Ukrainians to essential medications and reduce the financial burden on patients, especially in times of economic instability. The list of medications eligible for price reductions has been compiled based on analytical data regarding the demand of Ukrainians. It includes:

• medications for colds and coughs;


• antihistamines;


• anti-inflammatory and anti-rheumatic agents;


• vitamins and trace elements;


• medications for high blood pressure;


• drugs for treating peptic ulcers;


• calming and sedative agents;


• eye drops and nasal sprays.
