In December 2024, 52% of Ukrainians trusted President Volodymyr Zelensky, while 39% did not trust him.
The remaining 9% stated that they are uncertain about their stance.
This is mentioned in the survey data from
KМИС.
“Although trust indicators have worsened over the year, the trust-distrust balance remains positive at +13%,” the report notes.
Sociologists point out that by the end of 2023, 77% of Ukrainians trusted the president, but by February 2024, that trust had decreased to 64%, and by May 2024, it further declined to 59%. The proportion of those who do not trust increased during this period from 22% to 36%.
By October 2024, the situation stabilized; however, between October and December 2024, the level of trust began to decrease again, primarily due to those who have an uncertain attitude toward the president rather than outright distrust.
“This means that between October and December, it was uncertainty that increased rather than distrust,” the KМИС report states.
The survey was conducted by the Kyiv International Institute of Sociology from December 2 to 17, 2024, with 2000 respondents.
