The Committee of the Verkhovna Rada on regulatory matters has recommended that the Verkhovna Rada support the suspension of Member of Parliament Petro Poroshenko from participating in the sessions of the Ukrainian Parliament.
This information was reported by a correspondent from “Ukrinform”.
The relevant initiative was supported by 6 members of parliament, 3 abstained, and 1 voted against.
On the eve of this, President Volodymyr Zelensky
received a petition calling for sanctions against the member of parliament and leader of the "European Solidarity" party, Petro Poroshenko. The document has been registered on the president's website.
It is worth noting that recently, member of parliament and leader of "European Solidarity," Petro Poroshenko
stated that he was not allowed to leave Ukraine for a meeting with European politicians. The Verkhovna Rada responded that the event Poroshenko intended to attend had already concluded.
In November 2024, the leader of "European Solidarity," Petro Poroshenko, was
denied travel abroad for participation in the Munich Security Conference. He reportedly faces danger there.
