Two suspects have been arrested in connection with the plot to assassinate Lяшко's deputy.

Kyiv police reported this in their Telegram.

At the request of investigators, during the pre-trial investigation, both the woman and the man will remain in custody without the possibility of bail.

The police noted that the accomplices were detained while purchasing a pistol that they intended to use to kill the official.

For several months, the suspects monitored the daily routine and movements of their potential victim, and subsequently rented an apartment in the same residential complex where the medical professional resides. They practiced their shooting skills at a shooting range.

Both suspects face up to 15 years in prison or life imprisonment.

As a reminder, according to the investigation, in October 2024, a woman died in one of the capital's hospitals due to severe injuries sustained in a car accident.

The first deputy minister, who is an anesthesiologist, was on duty at the medical facility that day. Despite the serious injuries from the accident, the woman’s friends believed that the doctor was responsible for her death, which led them to plot his murder.
