In Dnipro and the surrounding region, the incidence of ARVI continues to rise.

In Dnipropetrovsk region, the incidence of ARVI has been rising for the second consecutive week.

From January 13 to 19, 2025, in the Dnipropetrovsk region, 8,057 people fell ill with ARVI, including COVID-19, of which 3,433 (42.6%) were children under the age of 17. Compared to the previous week, the incidence rate increased by 10.2%. This is reported by the Dnipropetrovsk Regional Center for Disease Control and Prevention, as conveyed by "Vidomo".

It is noted that the incidence rate in the region (260.5) is 56% lower than the epidemic threshold.

"During the reporting week, the number of patients diagnosed with COVID-19 was 53. Among them, one child was under 17 years old. The number of patients diagnosed with COVID-19 who were hospitalized in healthcare facilities in the region was 19 (5.4% of all hospitalized due to ARVI)," the statement says.

Additionally, during the week, there was one reported fatality with laboratory-confirmed COVID-19 (a person over 60 years old, who had comorbidities and was not vaccinated against COVID-19).

Furthermore, during the week, 42 people were vaccinated against influenza. Since the beginning of the epidemic season, a total of 10,739 people have been vaccinated against influenza.
